Meet our team.

Kevin is a graduate of Niagara University with a Bachelor of Science degree and has a master’s degree in social work from Syracuse University. He is a licensed nursing home administrator and licensed clinical social worker in the state of Connecticut, and has been in long-term care administration since 2001. In accordance with the management agreement with Life Care Services®, he is an employee of Life Care Services. Kevin has been the Executive Director at Pomperaug Woods since 2002.

Leigh is a graduate of Post University with a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing. She has extensive experience in senior care and was employed with various senior living communities prior to accepting a position with Pomperaug Woods in 2015. Leigh is passionate about working with seniors and their families to educate them about LifeCare and assist them as they move into this next chapter in their lives.

Leigh lives in Southbury with her husband Rick, daughter, Christine, and Wheaten Terrier, Max. She enjoys traveling, hiking, sunsets and a good book.

Vicki has been at Pomperaug Woods since 1994. She is a graduate of the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science from the School of Family Studies. She was the Health Center social services director for 19 years until she transitioned to become the Director of Executive Services in 2013. In this role, Vicki oversees the Environmental Services and Reception departments, and acts as the liaison between the residents and Pomperaug Woods’ administration.

Lana earned a Bachelor of Science in economics and accounting from the Belarus Trade and Economic University. She worked at various health care and continuing care retirement communities in Stamford and Fairfield, before being offered a position at Pomperaug Woods in November 2005.

Lisa joined Pomperaug Woods in 2001 to teach a six-week art course to the residents, and loved it so much that she never left! Lisa earned a degree in art education from Southern Connecticut State University. She had an integral role in creating the only senior juried art show in the state of Connecticut, which is hosted and run by Pomperaug Woods. This major state event is now in its 9th year. Lisa took over the position of Community Life Services Director in 2013.

Alanna graduated from Mount Ida College with an Associates Degree in Human Services and then went onto North Western Community College to receive certification in Therapeutic Recreation. She has worked in long term care and assisted living facilities for 15 years as Director of Recreation. She joined Pomperaug Woods in 2018 as the Director of Activities in the Health Center and will be overseeing the activity department in our new Memory Care Residences. She is passionate about helping people live their lives to the fullest!

Janel joined Pomperaug Woods in 2021 as the Clinical Admissions Liaison with 12 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse. She began her career in Long Term Care and offers years of experience in various roles in the post-acute care setting. She has collaborated and established relationships with area hospitals and the community over her many years of experience. She is a recognized leader in facilitating, organizing, and supporting the transition from various care settings to Long Term Care, Rehabilitation and Memory Care. Her expertise in the clinical and financial aspects of these transitions in care make her a resource for you and your loved ones. She is passionate about quality of care and helping people live their lives to the fullest.

Courtney joined Pomperaug Woods in May of 2019. She graduated from Central Connecticut State University with a bachelor’s degree in social work in 2016 and earned a master’s degree in social work from the University of Connecticut in 2019. Courtney has been working with older adults since 2016 and greatly enjoys the environment at Pomperaug Woods. She works primarily in the Health Center to assist residents and families with both long-term care and short-term rehabilitation needs and takes pride in being a part of Pomperaug Woods, where so many people have found answers during challenging times.

Kate joined the Pomperaug Woods family in 2016. Her career in health care began 35 years ago, working as a CNA. Her journey includes achieving her LPN, then completing her RN at Naugatuck Valley Community College. Her experience working with seniors is the perfect backdrop for her current position as the Director of Nurses.
